About the network

The Sino-Brazilian Network for Business and Project Management Research (SBN-BPM) is a research network founded by the Faculty of Business at City University of Macau and the graduate programs in administration (PPGA) and project management (PPGP) at Universidade Nove de Julho (Uninove), in São Paulo, Brazil.

The network currently brings together these two founding institutions and is designed to grow over time. It articulates joint research on business, management and project management between China and Brazil, with a particular vocation to bridge the Greater Bay Area and the Lusophone world. New researchers in adjacent fields and new institutional partners are welcome to join as the network evolves.

Mission

To produce, disseminate and apply high-impact research in business and project management at the intersection of China and Brazil, contributing to the academic, institutional and economic development of both regions and of the broader Sino-Lusophone space.

Governance

The network operates under a minimalist governance model with three layers: a coordinating committee with one institutional coordinator from each founding institution; co-leaders for each research line, with one researcher from each institution per line; and content editors responsible for the continuous curation of the website, publications and events.

New researchers may join the network by aligning their agenda with at least one of the three lines and committing to co-authored publication with existing members. New institutions may join through formal commitment, with at least three active researchers candidates, after consensus approval of the coordinating committee.
